The heel, what a touch!
Dear reader,
As mentioned several times, cellulite, also known by the technical name edematous-fibro-sclerotic panniculopathy, is a disorder that affects most women and affects the subcutaneous adipose tissue.
It is both a functional and an aesthetic problem given that its distinctive note is the classic appearance of orange peel skin present in those suffering from this disorder.
As we know, diet and lifestyle play a primary role in its formation and its appearance derives from a series of factors that contribute to the origin of the problem, favoring the onset of edema and inflammation.
What few people know is that there is also a correlation with the type of footwear used: wearing very narrow shoes or shoes with particularly high heels for a long time can lead to compromising the venous and lymphatic return, from the limbs towards the heart, with consequent stasis of blood fluids.
The use of this type of footwear (especially heels over 6 centimeters in height), as well as being able to compromise posture, favors the stagnation of blood and lymphatic fluids, contributing to the appearance or worsening of the cellulite condition.
You too, my dear friend who are a lover of ballerina shoes or slippers, be careful, because even slippers, ballerinas and all completely flat shoes are equally enemies of the leg, as in this case the pressure is distributed on the heel.
The right footwear therefore has a fundamental role for the health of the whole body: they avoid orange peel, they help you maintain a posture that will not lead to joint problems, avoiding back and neck pain, they allow the tissues to be oxygenated optimally.
The absence of a small elevation on the back of the foot does not support walking, and is also detrimental to circulation, equally causing stagnation and cellular problems.
In general, any shoe that is too pointed, narrow and non-breathable can contribute to the nightmare of water retention and should therefore be avoided as much as possible.
Fortunately, there are suitable shoes to avoid these problems, along with some highly recommended cosmetic remedies.
I advise you, my friend, to opt for shoes with medium heels, from 5 to 7 cm maximum, which have a wide and comfortable base.
Wedges and any shoe with a wide heel (and platform) are also suitable, as long as there is not a great difference in height between the toe and the heel.
In addition to comfortable shoes and an active lifestyle, dermocosmetics have been scientifically proven to aid in the drainage of liquids, streamlining the silhouette and smoothing the skin.
