I’d like to share my wonderful experience at Terme di Riolo Spa center.
I wonder if you already know this place: Terme di Riolo is a treasure chest of well-being among the Romagna sub-Apennines. An oasis immersed in nature, dating back to the end of the 19th century, that represents the ideal place to spend the best time with yourself in a fairytale place especially for those – like me – who love Art Nouveau style!
I took advantage of one of the spa’s many vouchers, a mix of physical and visual well-being and a tasting experience.
I arrived by car and received a warm welcome by the girls at the hotel reception, who showed me my room. The art nouveau-style hotel, finely restored, offers all the comfort you could wish for. After getting ready and enjoying the view of the park, I went to the spa center. For Italian residents, it is also possible to access through the national health service and undergo diagnostic visits with specialist doctors.
The pool has everything you want: from jacuzzi to emotional bubbles. Its very large size allows you to have all the space you need to relax and enjoy your moment. The view of the spa park is something I had only seen in Hollywood films.
I was also tempted to use the fitness room next to the tub … but the warmth of the heated water had already kidnapped me!
My voucher also included a wellness program with a beautician therefore, as a good colleague, I threw myself into her hands: for once, I received the wellness treatments myself!
At first, I observed my colleague with a somewhat critical eye, but sincerely I found her to be really good and prepared. The proposed wellness program involved the use of the spa’s cosmetic products which, honestly, I found to be of excellent quality and which I think I will include in my center.
Dear friend, I want to share a little secret with you: it is always strange, for me, to play the role of a customer, being (almost always) a beauty worker. When I was lying down, in my underwear, and my colleague placed a thermographic plate on my leg to see the presence and stage of cellulite, I was quite embarrassed.
We know that thermographic plates don’t lie and once they come in contact with your body, they immediately give you an objective report of your situation. In the end, my condition was not that bad: just a little edematous cellulite (maybe I already knew it!).
Honestly, I was positively surprised to discover that Riolo Spa also used thermographic devices for the analysis of cellulite and adiposity.
Even in my center in Milan, I have been using them for years. In addition to supporting my words, they help me to show and explain my clients their condition, especially in the areas they cannot see. Thermographic plates give me the confidence to accompany my client through a targeted wellness program. I have to say the experience I had with the thermographic plates at Riolo Spa convinced me too. I saw on the tablet the images of the thermal measurements of the back of the thigh and especially my “culotte de cheval.” After the thermographic investigation, the colleague used their specific cream for edematous cellulite, giving me useful information on the protocol to follow.
After the wellness program consisting of massages, chats, and discussions on aesthetic techniques, thermographic analysis, and applications of lotions and creams, I went to the relaxation room. TOP environment, with emotional showers, sauna, and self-service herbal teas.
Time seemed stop but it was almost dinner time: the rumbling of my stomach reminded me of that.
I reached my room and got ready for dinner. The restaurant is in a luxurious environment but it’s managed by a very kind and approachable staff, with no “haughty” or “buttoned up” behaviors, which sometimes you find in 4-star resorts.
Dinner “à la carte” with a wide food selection, from the healthiest to the most elaborate courses. The head of kitchen is Chef Angelo, who stopped by at the end of the service asking me if I was satisfied with the dishes.
After dinner, I went for a nice walk in the spa park and then to bed. My sleep got aided by the beautiful landscape, the sound of tranquility, and the feeling of well-being I received from my day at the spa.
The next morning, I took a tour of the shops inside the structure and bought some products from the Spa Herbalist’s shop, including the Slimming Modeling Lip Mud which is extracted precisely from this Spa.
My dear friends, I highly recommend you visiting the Riolo Spa center and experience the wellness program with thermographic analysis. Before loving others, we must learn to love ourselves!
